Hmm, I have a little dilema. I have just finnished with a special deviation, but this pic ended up as part of the background... I want to ask your permission to use it before I submit my work and get into trouble for it (I can E-mail it to you if you want to see it)
very very nice, although I have some minor points of critique/feedback if you allow me to. To me it is a little unclear what the buildings are build on. It seems to be water, but it might as well be that they are floating in air. The water lacks some depth and the lighting doesn't seem to interact with it(the towers cast no particular shadow) I personally think this is a shame because it makes the whole a bit flat while the composition and the design has so much potential in scale and depth. Also I suggest that the tower all the way in the back ground gets toned a little more blue, like it is towards the top. More atmospheric perspective. I think that this will accent the size of the scene and also helps it give a little more depth.
I don't mind at all, actually i'm very happy with this kind of critique! You are absolutely right about the shadows, I need to think more like a mathematician when doing light/shadow stuff otherwise I forget things like that. The sea is something that could use more work. Thanks!!
